Who is behind this
This is not sold by an agency. It is sold by someone who did it.
In 2006, the founder of Terraviajero rode the Camino de Santiago by bike and documented it day by day in the Bicigrino diary. This is not a brand that found the Camino in a catalog: it is someone who knows what it is to arrive wrecked at a hostel and find no bed.
That is why Terraviajero is born in Monterrey and not in an office in Spain: so that on the other end of the phone there is always a Mexican who has ridden those climbs and knows exactly what worries you.

What everyone asks us
What if I'm not fit enough?
It is the #1 question and it has an answer. We give you a 12-week training plan, run practice hikes in Chipinque, and pick a route that matches your fitness. On the trail, if you can’t make it one day, we re-plan stages at no charge and call a rescue taxi. No one is left behind.
Can I pay in pesos, interest-free installments, and get an invoice?
Yes. We charge in MXN by card in 6 or 12 interest-free installments, SPEI transfer, or in USD if you are in the United States. We issue a CFDI 4.0 invoice. It is one of the reasons we exist: the Spanish operator does none of this.
Do you really rent and ship the gear to my home?
Yes, and it is what makes us unique. We rent a 40–50L backpack and a kit with poles, rain cover, sleeping-bag liner and first-aid kit. We ship it to your door in Monterrey 10 days before you fly and fit it with you in a free in-person session. Boots and socks are not rented for hygiene; we help you buy them.
Do I need previous experience?
No. Most of our pilgrims are first-timers. The anchor stretch (Sarria → Santiago, 100 km in 5 stages) is exactly where 1 in 3 pilgrims starts, precisely because it is accessible.
When should I go? What is the 2027 Holy Year?
2027 is a Compostelan Holy Year (Xacobeo): historically pilgrim volume rises 25% to 60%. It means a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but also that lodging sells out months ahead. If you plan to go in 2027, book in 2026.
What happens if something goes wrong on the trail?
You get a Spanish phone assistance line active 24/7 during your trip, plus smart assistance on your phone. We have a documented protocol for the real incidents: blisters, hotel overbooking, a backpack that didn’t arrive, extreme weather and medical emergencies (with insurance activation).
Can I go as a group or with my family?
Yes. Many of our trips are groups of friends, families or parishes. The Signature package includes a Mexican host who travels with the group from Monterrey, and we can adapt the pace so someone can walk less with no problem.
What is the cancellation policy?
You book with a 30% deposit and pay the balance 45 days before departure. Cancellation terms are detailed in the adhesion contract registered with Profeco, which you receive before paying. No fine print.
